June 21, 2010 - All three career members of the Jackson Township Fire Department in northern Hamilton County organized with IAFF Local 4416. After researching and meeting with leadership, the newest members of the Local voted to join the union last month. President Tony Murray, the Executive Board, and all members of Local 4416 welcome these new members to the IAFF and are excited to help them set and achieve their professional goals. James Carter was elected by members in Jackson to serve as their steward. District Vice-President Darren Collar will serve as the service representative for the members in the Jackson Twp. District. "I am excited for our members in Jackson Township. Over the last decade, career fire fighters in Hamilton County have come together under the house of the IAFF in an effort to speak as one strong voice for our issues. Jackson Township's vote to organize only helps our cause as career fire fighters," said Local President Tony Murray.
