Neil Sullivan Honored with Award

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--Neil F. Sullivan, III of Fishers Fire Department was presented the Roland B. McGrath M.D. Clinical Excellence Award at a graduation ceremony of the Indiana University-Wishard Paramedic Science Program. Sullivan, of Greensburg, and 11 others graduated during a ceremony at the IUPUI Campus Center on Dec. 18, 2009. The award is named after Dr. Rolly McGrath, chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine and former medical director of Indianapolis EMS. Sullivan was selected by the program’s faculty and preceptors for demonstration of exceptional confidence, competence and interpersonal skills during ambulance and hospital clinical rotations. In addition to being certified as a Firefighter I and II, Sullivan is now a Nationally Registered and state certified paramedic. He works at Fishers Fire Department Station 93 and Decatur County EMS.
