  • Indiana Public Safety Exposure Tracking App

This FREE app from the Indiana State Fire Marshal and the Indiana Fire Fighter Training System will help public safety members record and track on the job exposures to hazardous materials, blood borne pathogens, and the products of combustion from fire.

Most firefighters don't need to be reminded about the risks of the job. But the risks don't end when the fire goes out.

Even when the call doesn't involve flames, firefighters risk exposure to a broad range of environmental and biological toxins. Because of this, firefighters and EMTs are at dramatically greater risk of contracting cancer, tuberculosis, and other blood-borne diseases. Indiana's cancer, lung, heart and Parkinson's presumption law require that firefighters document occupational exposures to hazardous agents.

In short, you need proof!  The Indiana Public Safety Exposure Form app assists members in establishing the linkage requirements and test for exposure in rebuttable presumption cases.
